Science and graphic design
I have always gravitated toward graphical design, and free-lanced as a graphic designer during my undergraduate studies. I have incorporated this passion in my science, using illustrations to communicate my research whenever possible. In fact, when planing a new project a drawing is often my first step, and sometimes these drawings will make their way to the final paper. The designed the poster on the left for the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) Australasia Conference in Darwin, 2019.

I run informal Adobe illustrator workshops aimed at scientists who want to learn some of the basics of Adobe illustrator, poster design and talk design. Feel free to email me if you would like to attend the next workshop (will like be mixed model online and in person).
